I need help citing my sources

Answer

Whether you summarize, paraphrase, or use a piece of text that is not your original idea, the source must be acknowledged.  To cite a source, you need to use a citation style, in other words, a set of guidelines that specify what information is needed for a citation and how the information is ordered and formatted.

The library Reference team provides guidelines and tailored assistance for APA, MLA, and Chicago styles.  Please, visit the "Citing your sources" webpage to find out more about the citation styles and send an email to libraryreference@acg.edu for personalized assistance.
